I tend to get into worplace comedies and enjoy them. It didn't take me long to like Less than Perfect and The new Worplace Comedy on UPN on Thursdays, Love, Inc. I just watched the new Workplace Comedy last night "Teachers" and laughed and thought it was watchable. But I prefer more Workplace comedies than any other, what about you?

As a kid, I preferred family shows (My Three Sons, Donna Reed, Growing Pains, Full House, etc.). However, now I really love workplace comedies the most (NewsRadio, Taxi, Wings, Less Than Perfect, Cheers, Night Court, etc.). I guess because I work now, it's nice to see TV characters at work.

Most of my fave sitcoms are workplace comedies. Mary Tyler Moore, Wings and Murphy Brown are the biggest ones right now. Golden Girls is prob. the only non-workplace comedy I watch on a regular basis.

I'm not a huge fan of workplace comedies. I prefer the family life, etc..
But Drew Carey's show is hilarious as far as comedies in the workplace go.... I just have to look at where Drew's desk is, and how close it is to his ultra arch enemy Mimi, and I laugh. These two are just hilarious together. |

To me, it really depends on the show.
"Cheers" and "Scrubs" are my favorite workplace comedies, because the workplace is appropriate for the tone and style of each show. In other words, "Cheers" is about a group of characters who are stuck in the same rut, having made their choices in life, so an ideal setting to put characters like that would be in a bar. "Teachers" would be an example of a workplace comedy I don't like. There's nothing about this show that separates it from any other sitcom. It doesn't provide a unique point of view about the current state of the education system or what it's like being a teacher. It's just characters who happen to be in a school and happen to have the job description of "teacher." Outside of that, they're pretty much stock characters. |

I like it both ways.
Work place comedies usually have a better array of characters and move faster, so I prefer those along them lines. Just Shoot Me & Scrubs are wonderful at that - although Scrubs sometimes goes home, not too often but it happens. I like a blend: Frasier and Home Improvement are examples of a good blend of work & home. |

With few exceptions (WKRP, Murphy Brown) I don't like them. So, fewer.
