Nothing about that statement was funny to me. It was dry and uncreative and I'm surprised the writers always put it in the script.-lol

Somehow, I don't think that was a catchphrase written in by the writers. I think that is just something that Mabel King added in herself.

it sounded like something she would say in real life. it wasn't meant to be funny, as much as it was probably more on the realistic side.

Well I think it was meant to be funny which is why they kept giving her the kine to say-lol

she may have said it during conversation and then just incorporated it in the script. she may have said it during rehearsals. I never found it funny, but I did find it very realistic...did I say that already? LOL
