did they not include "The Best Of"? like in the other seasons? I know we didn't like them as much but I would have thought in this season it was sure they would have it b/c it was one of John's best!?!

I assume since you have "The Best of TC" included, the makers felt it would be redundant to feature something that is basically the same thing.

There was only one official retrospect episode and that was the two-parter "The Best of Three's Company" hosted by Lucille Ball at the end of season 6.
Three's Company already stands above many other sitcoms in that there was an official series finale. That said, I think the best series finales are those in which the characters reminisce about past incidents. Such an example would be the series finale of "Growing Pains" in which there were several flashbacks to memorable past incidents. There has already been much discussion on the "would haves, could haves, and should haves" of the Three's Company series finale. But I think the one consensus we can all agree on is that there should have been at least some acknowledgement by Jack and Janet of the past characters. For example, they could have received a greeting card or phone call from Chrissy, Cindy, Lana, and the Ropers wishing Janet congratulations on her wedding. |
