I WAS LOOKING ON IOFFER TODAY AND CAME ACROSS THIS..THIS MAN IS BUSTING THEIR BUTTS.HE GOT ALOT OF PEOPLE.SO WATCH OUT..
trooperdobbs (0) Studio City, CA Notification to in wellington, OH Comment: To iceman-58, My name is Bob Logan and I am co-owner of Cannes Artist Productions, Inc., a motion picture production company based in Los Angeles. I'll be brief -- our company owns the exclusive rights to "F Troop." It has come to our attention that you have been selling illegally produced DVDs of said property. And, considering that we have never granted any person or entity, including you and/or your company, permission either to manufacture, duplicate, or distribute "F Troop" via DVDs or any other form of media, you are in direct violation of United States Copyright Laws protecting our property. We have already shut down: tobor77 moviemaniac11 nostalgicdvds swampfox79 oldtimetv crefeaprod toonviper oldtvondvd and myoldshows. Contact me immediately to discuss this serious issue. If not, I will have our legal department to take over this matter. My number: eight one eight -- seven six six -- one four zero six. Cordially, Bob Logan Cannes Artist Productions, Inc. I did an internet search on "Cannes Artist Productions" and it seems it is a real company and there is a "Bob Logan" affiliated with it but they have only one obscure movie associated with them called "Yard Sale"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408351/ This might just be some guy with no rights to any series taking it upon himself to scare people into removing their listings. The problem is, even if he is not the owner of "F Troop" or anything else, he can still start trouble for people by reporting sellers and providing links to their ioffer stores.. |

If you can, please post a full list of the shows that he has the rights to, so that noone else makes that mistake
he might own the copyright, OR he might have licensed the shows and might have distribution rights, I do not know but he seems to mean business in most of these cases, the party involved is not looking to slam someone to the wall, they usually just want people to stop selling the items in question and apologize i read the posts and it seems as if, for the most part, the guy seems reasonable and has worked with those sellers of F Troop who contacted him to agree to cease but if you are aware of what other programs may be questionable, please post a follow up so that we all know what to look out for thanks

personally I think the guy is a scammer, he is going after people who are bootlegging and making threats that if they don't compensate him for what they have sold he will turn them to legal....I smell bulls*it.
I also did a search on the guy, and pulled up all his info and it was pointed out to me how easily I obtained it, so if I can do it so can anyone else. Also there is someone on ioffer who is always giving this guy a pat on the back for going after bootleggers. This person apparenlty is homebound from a car accident an is very upset that he cannot make a living on ioffer by selling DVD's because of all the people selling backups....so one has to ask is this the same person or is he in cahoots with "Bob"....very possible. trsstvid0 (4) LOCKWOOD, MT Mar 23, 2006 ABOUT TIME SOMEONE GOES AFTER THE BOOTLEGGERS, WE HAVE BEEN REPORTING THEM TO MPAA, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT PICTURES & DREAMWORKS ENTERTAINMENT FOR A LONG TIME CALLED YOU AND LEFT MESSAGE TO TO EMAIL US WE HAVE SOME PROOF FOR YOUR LEGAL DEPT. Like it was pointed out above, IF this guy was who he said he was, he would just turn it over to legal to dick with and not waste his time. From they guy giving this dude an "atta boy!!" [q]trsstvid0 (4) LOCKWOOD, MT Mar 23, 2006 ABOUT TIME SOMEONE GOES AFTER THE BOOTLEGGERS, WE HAVE BEEN REPORTING THEM TO MPAA, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT PICTURES & DREAMWORKS ENTERTAINMENT FOR A LONG TIME CALLED YOU AND LEFT MESSAGE TO TO EMAIL US WE HAVE SOME PROOF FOR YOUR LEGAL DEPT.[q] SO all the big studios don't want to waste thier time but this small fry will go after them with a vengence? I think this guy and "bob" are one in the same...he targets bootleggers and tries to scare them sh*tless and tells them to pony up the money from thier sales.... |

the person is 100% legit
not a scammer as several of those in question have called him at his company the phone # they have called him at can EASILLY BE googled with a reverse search to verify that it is indeed a film production company and he has also provided legal proof of his control of the rights to ioffer in regards to F Troop it is not as uncommon as u might think for small companies to get licensing for old shows--- i know of several small companies, that aquired the syndication rights to some older shows several years back, when it seemed there would be no interest in those shows, and when the tide turned, they made a fortune. A larger company may own the rights, but license it out, or at least the syndication rights to it, or other "partial" rights to it, to a 3rd party for a fee that is much smaller than you would think. I do not know the person personally, but i do know that the sales of the lowbudget comedies and stuff have been made by his company have been pretty decent. and i know that it is not worth arguing over if u r one of the people who were putting F troop out there. better safe than sorry if u check F Troop, Noone is selling it now, All sets have been pulled so the guy is legit I dont know the situation as I am not one of those in question who was selling F troop, but i know the guy is legit and he was pretty ticked off, but my guess is he just wants it to stay stopped, and as long as people do not relist the item for sale, that will be the end of it many people in the entertainment industry take the issue seriously, while a huge company like Universal might not be upset over a few sales of F Troop, a small indy producer who might have a much greater stake in it, might pay more attention PLUS---IF U CHECK, F TROOP Season 1 is about to be released, and he is most likely simply, Protecting his Investment! |

Warner Brothers is patrolling at least Ebay pretty heavily for they're owned
works. So it's dangerous either way when you go on other sites that are public in nature. Anyone know of any other production companies that seem to have increased they're appearances in looking for people violating copyright? |

Lamont...the person is 100% legit as in yes he does exist.
The fact that the phone number can be easily googled is part of my point...any schmuck can do it. F Troop is 100% owned and distributed by WARNER...not this company that has produced mediocre movies at best...you think they could afford the rights to F Troop? The F Troop sales have been pulled because the only people selling them have had the crap scared out of them by this person trsstvid0 (4) LOCKWOOD, MT joined on March 3/2006 "Bob" joined on March 20/2006....coincidence? I think not One of trsstvid0 (4) LOCKWOOD, MT quotes are as follows ""YOU GO BOB, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IOFFER TO STOP BUT THEY LOVE THE MONEY MORE WE WILL NEVER SELL A BOOTLEGGED VIDEO, THIS IS A FORM OF TERRORIST ACTION ON AMERICA" now wtf is that? Apparently the guy was in a car accident that left him home bound. He is trying to make sales on I offer but is frustrated with the amount of bootleggers. I personally believe that this guy is targeting people who sell bootlegs and taking thier money by threatning them, which is blackmail and illegal. And I have not authenticated it yet but I believe he either goes by or did go by another name, from the same area, making the same complaints. Looks to me like we have a case of someone who is jelous and stomps out the competition by posing as someone they are not and then reaping the rewards. One other point, if you were selling bootlegs and someone claiming to be a rep from the studio contacted you to tell you to stop and also told you that if you give them the money from your sales all would be forgiven BUT they were a fake..not knowing this you call the real studio to make restitution and the person that answers has no clue what is going on but they hear you say you were selling bootlegs and you want to send them a check for the sales as they ordered....do you really think that they would turn it down? As soon as you admitted wrong doing they have you by the balls and all they have to do is let you run your mouth and tell you where to send a check and who to make it out to. FOUND IT!!! This guy http://www.ioffer.com/shops/ycv003 and trsstvid0 (4) LOCKWOOD, MT are one in the same.. when ycv003 couldn't make a go of it he shut down his store and switched identities, pulls his scam and makes money that way, now that F troop has been pulled, what show do you think he will go after next? I tried once to sell a movie that I converted from VHS to DVD on ioffer. ioffer shut me down with something called C.O.P.S. some kind of anti-piracy dept of thiers, anyway no studio reported me someone selling the VHS movie did. |

To moviemaniac111, You have already been contacted early this past week regarding your nine illegal sales (totaling $428.67 in illegal profits) of my company's copyrighted property, "F Troop." Since you have not replied, you are hereby put on notice that if I do not hear from you by Monday, March 27, 2006, to discuss this matter, I should give my legal dept the go-ahead to pursue all legal remedies against you. Further, officials of iOffer.com will also be contacted. My number is: eight one eight -- seven six six -- one four zero six. Cordially, Bob Logan Cannes Artist Productions, Inc. Mar 25 13:55

and they don't order money on a website like ioffer....unless it is a scam...as I have already stated, Warner owns the rights to F Troop, not this bozo. |
