Default What is there to talk about on a cell phone while walking down the

street?-lol It looks so stupid for someone to be having a conversation while walking down the street. I just can;t imagine what I can talk about while I'm in public. You are not suppose to use a phone for conversation when you are in public. Just for quick convo but not to talk like you are home in your living room.

I'm a little "Old school" when it comes to that stuff myself. I really don't need to hear people's conversations in an elevator, on the street, in a hallway etc. I also don't get why people insist on talking on the phone in their cars. You should be 100% focused on the road. Thank goodness New York outlawed that.

I really think that's how it was in the beginning when cell phones first came out. Now, I think it is just people can't stop talking to one another.

What amazes me is when people are leaving a movie theater. They can't wait to turn their cells back on. I mean just relax and enjoy a movie for an hour and a half. Very rarely will something be that important.

i don't get people who are grocery shopping and yapping away...

people who are at restaurants with others and there they are on that damn cell phone...

people standing in line to pay for groceries or at a fast food place and they hold up the line because they got to finish their conversation or they are still TALKING AND TRYING TO PAY with a credit card or ATM

I think most of the time some people are just immersed in their conversations that they aren't really aware of their surroundings. I know people who can hold their cellphone against their shoulder while doing stuff and still manage to talk with people on the phone. I, myself, can't do that. I have to be sitting on a chair/couch or just pace back and forth, but I can't multi-task like that.

I find it more annoying if they are VERY loud when talking, or if their speaker is so loud you can actually hear what the other party is saying. I just shake my head and go about my business. Tsk-tsk-tsk.....

One of my closest friends has a cell phone. When she visits or when we go out shopping, for lunch, etc, her phone never stops ringing. She's yacking away while she's driving, and acts like I'm not even there.

I finally told her that I think it's impolite (RUDE) to talk on the phone when with someone else.

I don't have one, and the only people I would call on the people I am in public with. I find it very rude when people are walking with them in public. I think its funny how many people have them on while Grocery Shopping

I talk to my boss all the time on my cell phone, I work Downtown so if I have to met with someone that's not far I'll walk and if I get a call I'll answer my phone. I have two cell phones (one for work and other is for personal use) and there has been times when I've been on both at once but when that happens majority of the time I'm on one phone with my 2yr old LOL

My husband is guilty of this. I send him to the store with a list, and he'll call and ask something like, "How much chicken do you want....what kind of yogurt? etc"

I have a cell phone but I never use it. I just can't understand why people always have to be on the phone. I don't know. Maybe its just me but I hate talking on the phone.
