Default Who was Dee to show her friend how to dance?

Dee was showing Julie how to dance by the jukebox. Dee couldn't dance to save her life!!!!! She just barely moved her feet and snapped her fingers...it looks like she was embarrassed to do it in front of the camera and audience. she did this same dance at the disco.

LOL. How about her singing and dancing during the final episode? "We're having a party".

I was wondering, How was she allowed in the Disco? I wasn't born back then, but weren't there age limits?

Good question. Unless the place didn't serve alcohol, that would be the only logical explanation. There are places that allow young people to go into and at a certain hour, they must leave, as long as alcohol isn't served.

I liked Dee's dancing to the beat. It was nothing special, but I got into it.

Yeah, hey...
Dee may have been somewhat "stiff" or whatever else in most opinions, but the sister could move and keep a steady beat, no matter what.
Her snake hips (as Haywood told us about Danielle once) did it for her!
And sure, she could've been a pretty good cheerleader; besides, the real Dee was a cheerleader all through her high school time.
For real, she sure was!

I had read somewhere abt that. It must have been hard for her to dance in front of a studio audience. I know I would have been stiff too. It kinda showed in her face as well, she looked like she wanted to laugh at herself. She was soooo damn cute. I love her face. BTW, at what point in the movie AS GOOD AS IT GETS, does Dee appear?

I totally concur with ya on all of the above, Irene-girl! Dee was kinda on the shy side of things, when it came down to performing in front of others when it really counted.
But thanks to a great tutor and instructor, it didn't take any time at all before Danielle got over that and gained all sorts of confidence in that regard. She was excellent.

And about the part where Danielle's part in "As Good as it Gets" comes forth... well here!
Right after Helen Hunt finishes speaking with Jack Nicholson over the phone concerning the trip down from NYC to Baltimore, and she says, "All right, then...good night..." and hangs up the phone, THEN the veterinary clinic lobby appears.
In the lobby, there are two dog owners (both women), and in the background you hear Danielle say, "Anything unusual in the dog's diet?", to Jack Nicholson.
The scene with her is pretty short, but it's long enough for one to pause it and take a good look at Danielle's growing hair, as well as her "trademark" silver fingernail polish...and her engagement ring back then!

So there ya go, honey. Hope it helps!

Lightbulb Get the DVD at Target/WallyWorld, hon...

Hey Irene-girl, don't fret!
There's still plenty of hope for ya, yet, concerning this movie in particular!

Do like I did, last year: go to either Target or Wal-Mart (I call it "Wally World" ) and buy "As Good as it Gets" on DVD, super-CHEAP and brand-new condition.
When I bought mine @ Target last winter, it was only $7.50 before tax.
That way, you can have it and never miss it!

GREAT!
And you won't be sorry that you did so either, Irene-girl; like you just said, for Dee, it's a worthy investment! She'd be very happy.

Hey, no problem there, Tommie...you know I was gonna do that anyways!
And thanx much for your compliment. I try hard to please "my festive audience". LOL

But for real, though, and on this subject...my outtake of Dee's dancing is this:
The sister can MOVE, I don't care WHAT no one else says!
