Default What is the first movie you ever saw in the theater?

Mine was Airplane, and Pink Panther a double feature.

Tickets were 1.50 for both movies.
Pocorn and a drink were 1.50 for a combo- refills of course.

I was hooked.

I think the first one I saw in a theater was "Moby Dick" (1956), starring Gregory
Peck. Wow! That was close to fifty years ago!

The one I remember seeing has to be The Champ, with Rick Schroeder or at least one of the first.

Either ET or The Secret of NIMH. Both were released in 1982, but I don't recall which one came out first.

I was five years old and in 1970 my mom and my aunt went to the local theatre to see a spanish drama movie called ROSAS BLANCAS PARA MI HERMANA NEGRA, which means, White Roses for my Black Sister. It is such a sad sad movie. Two friends, one hispanic and one black each have a daughter. The daughter of the hispanic woman falls in love with a black man. This pisses off the mother. The daughter of the black woman gets hit by a truck and is put on life support. The hispanic girl needs a heart transplant. The two mothers aren't speaking to each other because of the hispanic mother's racial bias. but when the young girl needs a transplant, the black mother offers her daughter's heart. It is so sad as you see the death of the black girl and her mother grieving. This is such wonderful acting. You can imagine the rest. The two mothers become friends again but the ending is sooo sad as they visit the grave of the girl who died. I want to get this movie on DVD ASAP!!!

Nightmare on Elm Street 2, I was 5 years old. We were at a Drive In, that was back in the day when they actually had a lot of them. I actually feel a sleep so I didn't see half of the movie
