lionel and jenny in season 5? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Where is Lionel supposed to be in the 5th season? I had thought that like in the 80s he was out of town on business, but in the first episode with Jay Hammer Jenny offers Alan a place to stay and he says he doesn't want to impose on her and Lionel so Lionel was still in NY at that time. I've seen quite a few of the year 5 shows and there is no other mention of him or Jenny for that matter. I read somewhere that she was only in 2 episodes that season, but i don't know what the other one was. It's funny that they showed Alan and Marcus but not Jenny.

I'm pretty sure they never explained where Lionel was at in season 5

So Mike Evans didn't appear in that many eps in season 5 after returning to the show?

Neither Lionel was in season 5. Mike Evans came back in season 6 and was in 13 episodes that season the same # of shows Damon was on in seasons 2 and 3. I counted only 8 shows with him for season 7 though (including the Separation that really aired in year 8) so something must have been going on that made him appear less often.

What I also found interesting was how few shows Jenny is in over the course of the series. She was always in less than 1/2 the shows in any season with seasons 2, 3 and 6 being the years when she was most seen in about 10 shows in each year.

Right I forgot that the Jeffersons was a mid-season replacement in 75 which would make the 79-80 season the sixth season instead of season 5
