Default How pathetic was a grown man like Lamont...

...demand that his elderly father cook him his meals. Lamont was sad at times.

Sometimes Lamont acted more like the father then Fred did. He also told him to clean the house all the time too.

he made Fred do a lot of work he could easily do. Then again Lamont is in his 30's and still living at home.

He treated Fred more like a maid or his girlfriend than his father.

You all forget that Lamont worked in the field all day, picking up junk and Fred had all the time in the world to keep up the house. He wanted Lamont living with him even if gets married.

I think it's strange for a man in his 30s to be living with his father in the first place. Given that, they did have an arrangement where Lamont would work and Fred would do the house chores, and Fred didn't keep up his end.

Lamont may have expected too much because as Brian said, Fred was old.

Exactly, Fred on the show was at least 65 years old and wasn't getting any younger. I also hated the way Lamont would talk down to Fred at times.

Lamont seemed like a sensibile guy. If he knew Fred was not capable of the work, he wouldn't have been so pissed when Fred failed to do it.

That's not really a valid question. General discussion of shows that one enjoys or has enjoyed is one thing. That's what these boards are all about.

But constantly harping on and nit-picking every little plot and character detail that doesn't make sense is quite another. Again, it's called artistic licence and it happens all the time.

And it *is* just a TV show, plain and simple.
