This was a underrated classic. It was made in 1980. It had Matt Dillon and Adam Baldwin. Chris Makepeace was the star, but he's an unknown. This was on today on cable. I saw this many times. It was about a high school kid in a new school that got bullied by a bully(Dillon) and asked this troubled kid with a violent past (Baldwin) to be his bodyguard. I love this movie. Anyone else seen this?

I haven't seen it in years, but you are right, it was a very good movie.

It is one of my fave movies. A very simple story, simple kids, and something that alot of kids can relate to. It also had Jennifer Beals (Flashdance) and Joan Cusack (Jon Cusack's sister, she appeared in many many movies). I wonder whatever happened to Chris Makepeace?

Joan Cusack she played Shelly in the movie. Jennifer Beals was in this? Chris Makepeace probably left the business. I last saw him in an 1987 movie with Pat Morita.

Yes, Jennifer was in it. She is in it mostly as background, but she has screen time as far as her face being shown. She is listed in the credits.

The last time I saw this movie it was on the Fox Movie Channel and I fell in love with it all over again. Adam Baldwin's character has a tough "Who gives a

?" attitude, but his friendship with Chris Makepeace and what he went through was very touching and he became a favorite of mine. I also really liked Joan Cusack.

This is a great movie. I can't remember the last time I saw it, but, I remember the first time was in '81, it was on HBO. Matt Dillon, Adam Baldwin were great in this movie.

I wonder whatever happened to Chris Makepeace.
