I recall the program from my childhood. Even back then, I remember the remarkable cast extended even to guest stars with bit parts. In season one, the duo had quite their advertising job out of pride and met a homeless man, disheveled, sitting on a sidewalk. Upon hearing their plight his response, with a Shakesperean timbre to his voice I might add:
"Right on fella! I did the same thing once me' self. I told the chairman of the board, 'if you want Dan Fluter, you know where you can find him.' That was thirty years ago...and I can't wait to see the look on his face when he comes crawling back.'" That fabulous line and rediculously ideal philosophy have been a running joke in our family for years! |

Who could forget Bruce Vilanch "do you have Dijon?" as he stood at that hot dog stand. His comical otherworldly appearance along with his critique of the hot dog is seldom found in the pages of Bon Appetite.

Some of my favourite quotes:
Hildy's lines from the episode where they keep re-writing the same scene over and over again: -It was a perfectly normal day at the Susan B. Anthony Hotel, except everyone had become the undead. -People say it's hard to stay up all night - 20-30 cups of coffee it's easy! -Give me a break, I'm high on coffee ok. From the the Kip Quits episode: [talking about why Penny Marshall is late] - She has to come all the way from the 60's |
