Anyone heard of the Pitcairn Islands? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was at Wikipedia looking up populations of pages and these Islands only have a population of 46 people all from only 9 different families. These sounds like some interesting islands. These islands are British colonies in the Pacific Ocean. There are more people on my block then these islands. I like seeing stuff like this. There are a bunch of interesting things about these islands. Anybody ever here of these?

Communications

Telephones: There are only satellite phones on the island, replacing a single wired party line. Islanders call between homes and ships via VHF radio.
Radio: There is no broadcast station. Marine band walkie-talkie radios are used to maintain contact among people in different areas of the island.
Television: There is no broadcast TV; most houses have a VCR/DVD to watch videos.
Internet: There is one Government-sponsored satellite internet connection, networked to all houses on the island. Pitcairn's country code (top level domain) is .pn.

Yes, I have. They were settled by refugees from the H.M.S. Bounty mutiny. The Pitcairn Islands are known to stamp collectors like me for their colorful stamps.

I must like islands for some reasons

, but I think the only island I have been to is Manhattan. I might have to go on a trip this summer, but not to these islands.
