Default Favorite Moments

okay.I expect this thread to have the same kind of staying power as 'King of Queens Quotes' and 'Fav.Arthur Moments' j/k.

This thread is not really about quotes(although a quote or two may be involved in the scene).I wanted to make this more about the visual. But of course, quotes are ALWAYS welcome.I'm talking about the scenes that you have to hit rewind on your DVD,VCR,TiVo,etc..,because you just can't get enough of it!
I'll start you off.I was watching "Golden Moldy" the other day(hadn't seen it in awhile)and the scene where Doug and Carrie are wearing the white bathrobes and Doug says,"we look like frickin' polar bears"and then throws Carrie on the bed and starts acting like a bear is tooo funny!!I'll bet I've watched that scene 15 times the last few days.Kevin got Leah laughing pretty hard in that scene.
Also,I always like when Carrie flashes her fake smile(see season 4 "Double Downer" for many examples of this).

Run with it,have fun with it....

The robe/polar bear one IS funny! One I can think of, it's not really funny, more dramatic, from "Foe: Pa" when Carrie goes off on Arthur and tells him he's a lousy father, they don't do that too often, so I couldn't believe my eyes, I definitely had to replay that scene! She really snapped!!

One of my favorite (funny) visuals...is from "Cowardly Lyin'"

Carrie keeps listening to the messages, and Doug keeps trying to distract her "let's go out and get pizza like 2 crazy kids" , stuff like that, and Carrie listens more and more carefully to the message, the harder she listens, the more Doug begins to act "panicky" then you can hear "pepper" barking in the background, Carrie goes out to the backyard and throws a can at the fence to make the dog bark!

I love this one because there's really no dialogue between Doug and Carrie, yet, the audience, (and me) is laughing sooooo hard!! Just watching it kills me!

Great thread by the way =)

sweetd-something that has always puzzled me from "Cowardly Lyin'".Who does "Pepper" belong to again?I think that was the one and only time we heard mention of that dog.(?)Is it another one those great mysteries of the show?

I love in "Fatty McButterpants" when Doug attacks Mr. Safety in the living room and throws him out onto the porch and then later Arthur discovers him and thinks some vicious thugs did it. Hilarious episode. Honorable mention also goes to Depo Man, Awful Bigamy, Net Prophets and Assaulted Nuts, those are some of my other favorites.

What about Snowball, Lou Ferrigno's dog? If memory serves me right he was only seen in the episode "Lush Life" which is another one of my favorites. I guess he went the way of Stanley and Pepper who was never seen.

Also, even though they explained in the "Pilot" commentary on the Season 1 DVD why Lisa Rieffel was taken off the show after a few episodes, I think it would've been still good if they built something into the storyline. Just some of my little quirks. Still an avid fan nonetheless.

Another one of my favorites is the opening on "Awful Bigamy" where Doug is taking a politcal pole and Arthur picks up, the interaction between them was hilarious.

Arthur: Why don't you tell him that you're enormous

Doug: Oh yeah, well why don't you tell him that your salary last year was $12

Arthur: That was after taxes.

CYA

"Jung Frankenstein"

*LMAO* Carrie's mad at Doug 'cause he won't stay on his diet, when she comes home and sees him eating a yodel she tells him he needs therapy, then goes upstairs........here's the part I gotta watch a few times...

Arthur gets up and slaps the yodel out of Doug's hand and it flys across the room! Doug finds it and picks it up to throw it out, and Arthur slaps it out of his hand again....

Doug: "Ok, I wasn't gonna eat it that time"

Doug(To Holly):"You better drive.I might take us off a bridge."
and the other great quote from Arthur that went something like:"I need to go back in time. And unless you're incredibly wealthy, that's impossible."
That line ALWAYS kills me!!
