Default How do u watch your TV DVD's?

I'm just wondering how people watch the episodes on their TV DVD sets. For me I always watch them in order. I know some people watch their favorite episodes first regardless of the order. I usually wait until I watched all the episodes to watch the extras, except for commentary. For eps with commentary I will watch the episode first, than re-watch it with the commentary.

I usually watch the episode in their original air date order. I also always start on the first season.

I'll watch them in order, but when it comes to an episode that I don't care for, I'll skip over it.

I also start with the first season. I won't buy a set unless I have the first & preceding seasons.

In episode order of any season unless I've seen the episode just recently.

I watch them in order when i first get the set, then pick random episodes...

I watch a series in the original broadcast order as they aired and I begin with the first season of a series. Depending on a holiday, I will get a show with a holiday theme and watch to honor that special day.

Sometimes I'll look at a special feature on the series DVD if time permits or I'm in the mood.

I have done that watching the same episode with added commentary to get the talent's take on the series (actors/actresses, directors, etc.) which can provide pretty interesting viewpoints on what the viewer never understood before (didn't understand the punch line as an example) or how a certain effect was achieved.

Me too. I'll watch the complete season in order, and then watch my favorite episodes from the season.

Same here...watch it in order the first time through, then watch favorite eps, or episode arcs, later on.

Unlike some of the other posters here, the first time through I watch all eps, and not skip over the ones I didn't like.

You mean you actually watch your sets? I'm too busy transferring the 40,000 or so videotapes I have to actually watch anything.

What's the point of buying them if you're not going to watch any of them?

To have. So that when I am in the mood or have the time or need something to bring with me when I'm working out of town. Or for trades. Or to upgrade my copies. Why does anyone collect anything? To build a collection.
