I came across this recent article that gives a lot of additional info about her case. As most of you probably know David Rademaker was convicted of her murder and was just recently sentenced to life without parole.

Thanks for the article. I recall that case and was glad that there was closure to it. What a heartbreaker.

Early in the show's run, Forensic Files did an episode about the 1995 murder of Linda Sobek. The name of the episode is "Photo Finish." Because of speculation that Kimberly's murder was connected to Linda's murder (as both women were models), the former was mentioned in the episode. However, the murder of Kimberly Pandelios was an unsolved case when "Photo Finish" originally aired. |

Another cautionary tale
I'm relieved that they caught the guy.
In the segment, a witness named Brad Leon claimed that there was 3 individuals when he had his chance encounter with a woman he's convinced was Kimberly. According to this article, this incident was unrelated to the case. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/LIFE+AND+DEATH+OF+A+MODEL+14+YEARS+AFTER+KIM+PANDELIOS'+MURDER,...-a0142897876 This case is so depressing. Adds another chapter to the big book of cautionary tales. Truly depressing. |

What did the article say? It's no longer active.
So the incident that UM re-enacted was no related? It sounds too close, the 3 men, the blond. That is so bizarre if it was un-related. How would they know? That pig-faced guy (from the composite) gave me nightmares! I couldn't get up and go to bathroom alone...my husband thought it was funny! |

Here's another article about it from early 2006:
http://www.knbc.com/news/6479033/detail.html Jury Hears Secretly Taped Conversations With Model's Alleged Killer Burbank Man Could Be Sentenced To Death POSTED: 6:32 pm PST January 26, 2006 UPDATED: 7:10 pm PST January 26, 2006 LOS ANGELES -- A jury Thursday heard secretly taped conversations in which a Burbank man repeatedly denied that he was responsible for the 1992 sexual assault and drowning death of a 20-year-old Northridge model. Cindy Haddon, the ex-girlfriend of David Rademaker, confirmed on the witness stand that the voices on the tapes belonged to her and the defendant. Rademaker, 41, could be sentenced to death by lethal injection if convicted of first-degree murder with one or both special circumstance allegations of kidnapping and sodomy. The victim, Kimberly Pandelios, disappeared on Feb. 27, 1992. Her remains were found a year later in the Angeles National Forest. She had moved with her husband, Peter, from Florida to the Southland the year before she disappeared to pursue a modeling career. In her testimony, Haddon said she agreed to cooperate with sheriff's homicide investigators who were looking at Rademaker as a possible suspect in Pandelios' death. She said she used a special cellular telephone that taped her conversations with Rademaker onto a data bank accessible to investigators. "I didn't kill her; that's ridiculous," Rademaker told the woman during one conversation in which she implored him to tell her the truth. In the same conversation, Rademaker suggested he might kill himself if charged in Pandelios' death. "I'm not spending the rest of my life in prison," Rademaker said. Rademaker also said he did not like police officers. "I don't trust cops; they lie," Rademaker said. "I think they need someone to blame, and they're going to blame me." In a face-to-face conversation with Haddon at a Lakewood restaurant, Rademaker told the woman, "They've been trying to hang me for this thing for 14 years." Rademaker also advised Haddon not to talk to investigators. "When it comes to talking to the cops, don't say anything," Rademaker said. I have an update to the UM Linda Sobek case, or at least I did at one time, but neither CD or I can remember seeing the original case. Does anyone recall seeing the Linda Sobek case?

Was it ever determined if Jeff's eyewitness account of seeing Kim with three men was verified?

Unless he is lying, this is by far the oddest coincidence ever.
