Nicole Keepin' Busy

Yup, it's that time again for Nicole nuts, only this time, the pilot in question is a drama rather than a comedy. "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium" fans will no doubt notice that Ms. Sullivan's new series, "Raines," has a rather familiar plot line. Here is a summary from the Futon Critic: Luis Guzman ("Luis"), Nicole Sullivan (Chloe Reid on "Hot Properties") and Dov Davidoff (the upcoming Mark Wahlberg-led feature Invincible) have all joined the cast of the drama pilot, about an eccentric, brilliant cop (Jeff Goldblum) who talks to dead victims that help him solve his cases. No details were given about their respective characters. Graham Yost is behind the NBC Universal Television-based hour, which Frank Darabont is directing. Despite the obvious similarities to the two aforementioned series, here's hoping that NBC decides to pick up "Raines" for the 2006-2007 season, thereby giving Nicole another shot at the prime-time success that she so richly deserves. |
