Default Pierre April

I just saw the segment today about Pierre April, a man who woke up one morning with no idea where or who he was. This was a very fascinating case very similar to that of Arthur Paul Beal.

My question is if there is any other information about this guy out there. UM left a lot of information out in the segment. What was he doing in Southern California if he is from Canada?

If anyone else saw this case and would care to comment on it I'd appreciate it!

I'm wondering how the guy had a Boston library card on him? Apparently he was doing alot of traveling in the US to have thought of San Diego and also have that library card. This is pure speculation, but I think that he probably tried to hitch a ride to San Diego for some reason (maybe to do a cross country tour of the US) and was robbed, got hit over the head, and was left on the side of the road where he awoke. I'm sure if he took public transit, someone would have recognized him on Unsolved Mysteries. And even if he rode as a hitchhiker, if they stopped somewhere, I'm surprised nobody that works at gas stations, rest areas, or motels/hotels came forward to claim that they saw him. This case is very baffling.

Didn't Paul Beal think he was from San Diego too?

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

With the goatee he reminds me of Dustin Diamond aka Samuel "Screech" Powers.

they played it three times in the past two weeks.

youd think if your entire network consisted of movies about some chicks period and reruns of shows, you could handle not runnig the same ****ing segment over and over

Dude, can you believe? They showed this guy's story AGAIN yesterday. That's three times in the past week. What the hell is going on? I had never seen it once before this.

Any other information on this guy? The update doesn't say much about how he ended up in US. Is this one of the few cases with actual amnesia?

Sorry for bumping old threads, going through the DVR.

How exactly could they not get a name from the library card anyway?

I concur with the above comment. He was way too cocky and I feel manipulative describing his "ordeal". I never got a sense that he was being sincere at all. Especially how cocky he was when told his family was looking for him.

I don't know. I sort of believe him. Maybe he was travelling across the US, which is not uncommon for we Canadians to do. Maybe he was running away from his life. But I bet he was hit over the head or something, probably to be robbed. I mean, why would he make this up? To what end?

I suppose that means you have never met a pathological liar? I know a number of them and they will lie about anything and everything, even stuff that nobody would ever need to lie about. I don't know if this guy was legit or not (I lean towards yes) but some people make just plain make up stories even there is no benefit (and many risks) to their lies.

At least this guy wasn't wanted.

Amazes me that people fake amnesia and go on TV when they're wanted by the police.

I guess he coould have been a pathological liar but odds are against it. People throw around that term but it is actually quite rare. Also, you would think more people or evidence from his past would have come forward to suggest this.
