The Alice/What's Happening Crossover Episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

LOL-No these shows never crossed over but it defintely looked like it when Fred Berry appeared on Alice in 1984 as part of a dance group and can you believe 5 years after What's Happening ended, he was stil doing that corny as POPLOCKING DANCE?-lol If he was supposed to be a different character why do the rerun trademark dance? Mel should have asked him-"where is Raj and Dwayne?-lol

He was doing that dance way before What's Happening. That was Fred Berry's trademark dance from his dancing days with THE LOCKERS.

I just wish he could have been the one break dancing on Alice instead of that same ole POPLOCKING-lol

He couldn't probably because of his weight. Maybe that's what the producers wanted him to do.

but wasn't he even heavier at this period of time? There was a period of time when his weight really got out of hand.

I don't think Freddy Berry ever went out of character after he was Rerun. Everytime I saw him he dressed and acted like the character, even off of the show!

He had the same type of Hat on his head when he appeared on Alice, it was BLACK instead of RED

Rerun was very flexible all around, to be overweight and so forth! I was really taken aback by that amazement alone...
