When I first seen Adam in the episode where Mary goes to the blind school to learn braille, etc. He would speak and look at her a certain way, and I didn't realize the character of Adam was also blind. He seemed to be staring right at her as if he could see her. I have seen blind people and they don't stare with a glare like that, which I found odd for him to be doing. He never even mentioned to Mary that he too was blind when she assumed he was. She got mad at him telling him if he didn't like the way she ate then don't look at her while she eats.

I was surprised too that Adam was blind when I first saw that episode.
But yeah, the eyes of most blind people I have seen in real life move around because they have lost muscle control to their eyes because they don't use them. |

I thought he had a bit of a glazed look some of the time and looks like he is not focusing on anything--such as when he walks into her room. But he did seem to look right at her some of the time, and it wasn't quite realistic. I think they wanted viewers to watch the whole episode not knowing he was blind, because it's not until close to the end he officially reveals it.
I never realized completely blind people's eyes move around. I just assumed most blind people's eyes were more closed... |
