Chip Douglas

i think chip douglas was the wrong man for the job as producer on headquarters. he did a great job on p,a,c,and j ltd. but with seasoned musicians. on headquarters he did not know how to bring out the best in the band. he did not know how to utilize the players and crank out some decent music. also the song selection was weak, why not just do an album of nesmith originals - basically every song that he wrote and they recorded was very good, name one that wasn''t . also, 2thumbs down to the drum sound on HQ and weak arrangements in general. tork was right on wanting stephen stills to do it.
