mike's absent guitar

i never understood why mike did not play more lead guitar on the headquarters album. here was a chance to showcase their talents to create a good product and mike, a pretty decent player did not play any leads. in fact he is simply listed as a rhthym player while peter seems to take the leading role. I don't think there was anything peter could do that mike couldn't do better. Mike if you're out there answer me please!!!!
