Any fans of this show? I watched a few episodes tonight for the first time and I really like it. Why do they call Suzanne "Pepper"?

I've liked the few episodes I've watched so far. Season 1 came out on March 7th for those interested. They might have mentioned why she was called "Pepper" in one of the episodes. I noticed she was often just called "Pep." It's interesting she was called Lisa Beaumont in the Police Story episode.
