That's an excellent question! All I know is that he was active in TV roles up to 1985 when he played a regular on 'Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer'- and then failed to return from the summer haitus to shoot the fall season. Some believe he went to North Carolina to visit relative but met with foul play but I've yet to hear if his actual fate has ever been confirmed!

I have heard he has been missing all this time. This is the first time I have ever heard of a North Carolina connection.

it was a major rumor that is not true. He is not missing. he just isn't working.

I hope that is the case. Maybe we should break out the phone book(s) and find this man and let him know how many people have been concerned about his well-being.

I believe his last work was a movie called "uncensorsed" something like that...it came out in 1989 or 1990. To actually think he is missing is so flaky. Doesn't anyone think it would be in the news? In the entertainment news? On the internet when you do a search on his name?

Yeah, I agree, who wants to call all the Ben Powers in the phone book???

I can do the west coast, but chances are he may live on the east coast.

'Uncensored' was released in 1984- not '89. And all I know is that Ben Powers didn't return to 'Mike Hammer' after '85 and his character of Moochie was considered missing as Powers himself was considered- and there's nothing whatsoever listed about him after 1985 so believe whatever you all want. I've related what I believe to be true.

so what? there is nothing listed for alot of actors/actresses, that doesn't mean they are "missing". I had read in a magazine abt some voice work he did way after 1985 but it wasn't significant enough I guess for it to be on the internet. Also, I had read that he had cancer and was not doing too well. Which is why he wouldn't be working if he is suffering from a disease that may be weakening him.
