Hi - I'm new here, but have been a fan for many years. I just saw the story on Gordon Collins (don't know if that's how his last name is spelled) and was wondering if they ever found him. It seems like they had a lot of leads, and it shouldn't have been too hard, they just kept narrowly missing him. This is the case of the four friends vacationing in Baja that had the boat accident. Two bodies were found deceased at the site of the wreck, two bodies were never found. Gordon was at first persumed dead, but many sighting started coming in. Just wondering. It seems like something should have happened by now, but there's nothing on the website.
Also I was wondering if any one could tell me the names of the people that were involved in the case of the hitchiker that ended up murdering the driver's mother. If I remember correctly, the driver picked up the hitchhiker at a fast food resturant, telling the hitchhiker that he could only take him a few miles. When it was time to go, the hitchiker turned violent and the driver barely escaped. When he got back to where he lived, he thought he saw the hitchiker. The police came, and he started thinking about his mother who lived right near by. They found her murdered. The police thought that the driver had done it, until they found evidence that someone else had been involved. This case really bothered me. There seems to be more then meets the eye - such as the driver may have actually know the person who he gave the ride to. Or the whole thing was just a cover story. The coincidences of the whole case just seem too surreal. Thanks for any help you can give Airmid |

The answer to your question about the second case is as follows: Dorothy Donovan was the name of the murder victim; her son, who encountered the hitchhiker, is Charles Holden. A suspect was arrested this past January; his name is Gilbert E. Cannon.
