Remember the episode where Him and Martin's dad were down stairs playing records???

Why was Cliff playing his collector albums on that cheap-ass, 25 year old record player????

"and the sound is in Mono" Cliff says.........wtf?

I think it was for nostalgic reasons. In that episode I believe he kinda explains why.

yes he did, but i would think to hear the quality of your records, you would have a decent record player.

He had one upstairs if he wanted to listen to it the way your talking about then he could have went upstairs. Also with some 45's/records the sound will not be as clear as with a tape or CD. I think it all depends on how old the record is.

no, theo had one in his room. he only used it to listen to Shakespear. But his Stereo was cheap too!

you see, Cliff was cheap!! Vanessa wanted 10 bucks just to buy a cd, Cliff goes off the deep end, talking about " when i was your age...etc.
