42% said the man, 34% said whoever asked the other person out and 17% said go dutch. I agree with the 34% because if you asked the person out I feel you should pay. Now in the situation of a blind date, I think it should be DUTCH. Anyone agree? i mean you don;t know what each other look like and you don;t know if there will be a second date for sure so i say it's best to go dutch. No point in wasting money-lol

Hmmm.... that makes a lot of sense for the one who asked the other person out should pay. Either that or "go dutch."

I agree, I'm still trying to figure out why I paid for the meal when I met someone through a dating service-lol It defintely shoudl have been dutch

But I'm not a big fan of men paying. Even guy friends. A couple of them have payed for dinner or coffee and it makes me feel weird.

I'm pretty mixed on this. On the one hand, if I wasn't very interested in someone before but then they asked me out and I decided to give it a shot, I'd think the person who asked should pay since I never would've had intentions of going out with them previously.

However...I just have issues with the gentlemanly part of my brain. It's so hard for me to do that. As the guy, I always feel like it would be bad manners to expect a woman to pay. I just couldn't do that. Even if I was the one asked on the date, I'd end up paying just because I feel like it's the right thing to do.
