Default Funny Scene from "The Rivals" that's ALWAYS cut on TVLand

In the episode "The Rivals"(ep #91), where Opie has his first crush on a girl who ignores him, there is a very funny scene that I wish TVLand would not have edited out. Opie is over at Thelma Lou's baking brownies with her and Barney is trying desperately to get together with her to go "parking" at the duck pond that night. He calls over and Opie answers, continually asking Barney, "WHY go to the duck pond at NIGHT? You won't be able to see the ducks." Barney eventually hangs up the phone disgusted, and that's where TVLand cuts to the next scene. The scene they miss is where Barney goes over to get a cup of water while Andy is painting a small portion of the couthouse.

ANDY: Anything wrong?

BARNEY: Aww, Ope's still there. THAT child shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone---he's a MINOR!!!

ANDY: Oh, relax Barn. Thelma Lou's just trying to keep him busy.

BARNEY: Yeah, well . . . somebody OUGHT to explain to that boy that little kids shouldn't be allowed to interfere with adults' phone conversations.

ANDY: Well, I'll try. But I may not have time.

BARNEY: (frustrated) What do you mean?

ANDY: I may be too busy explaining to him why you want to go to the DUCK pond.
(Barney throws his cup down and storms off furious, as Andy laughs)
That scene always cracks me up-lol

They even cut the part on "The Cow Thief when Barney comes back in the room and tells Andy that he will wait a while with him. Andy says it may be a hare-brained idea and Barney says, "I'll take my chances.....I remember a mayor who once accused you of having a hare-brained idea.....the one when you decided to make me your deputy!" That was a very important part of that show and it has been left out quite often. Sometimes they show it...sometimes not.

Which is what I hate about TV Land we need a network that will air classic show uncut the way they were meant to be.

I am sick and tired of the constant cutting and editing of our classics. Yes, I know we can buy the DVD's but this constant editing out of good scenes (just for another minute of ad time) is very irritating!!!
