Charles in Charge (The Second Pembroke Season)

Since the Powells episodes took place a year and a half after the season finale of the Pembroke year, I thought I'd come up with some episodes as fillers to the season two premiere "Amityville".

episode 201 - "Waiting at the Bus Stop"
The Summer is over and Charles returns to the Pembrokes. He has a welcome home party, where Buddy attends. However, Charles notices that Gwendolyn is absent. He wonders where she is. Meanwhile, Jason is afraid to start school again and seeks Charles' advice. In the end, Charles gets a letter from Gwendolyn stating that she's not coming back.

episode 202 - "Gettin On with Life"
Buddy decides to take a broken hearted Charles out for a night on the town. The two go "cruising for chicks." Once at a bar (against his will), Charles has a few too many drinks and ends up hitting on a woman. He then gets hit by her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Lila's devastated when a terrible rumor about her is going through her school.

episode 203 - "Buddy in Charge"
Stan and Jill have to go out of town for a couple days. They leave Charles in charge (hence the title, lol). However, Charles gets a call from his father, stating important news about their future. So Charles has to leave to see him. He, reluctantly leaves Buddy in charge of the Pembroke kids. Lila, Douglas and Jason turn out to be too much for Buddy. When he returns home, in tears, he informs everyone that his father has been given six months to live.

episode 204 - "Charles Sr. and Charles Jr."
With Charles' dad, terminal, he decides to spend all the time he can with him. Meanwhile, Douglas gets a girlfriend and seeks advice from Lila. Jason realizes his dad won't be around forever and decides to spend some time with him. Which Stan loves, but starts to get annoyed by Jason, who's there, every waking moment.



episode 222 - "Summer Promises"
Charles and Buddy decide to spend the Summer on the road. This doesn't sit well with Jason, who doesn't want Charles to leave. Nevertheless, the duo go away for the Summer and this episode focuses on the first week or so of their vacation. They both try to meet women, but end up getting rejected over and over.

episode 301 - "The Return of Charles"
The Summer's over and Charles once again returns to the Pembrokes. However, his return isn't as he planned it. All of a sudden, Stan Pembroke is very upset. Lila has a boyfriend, who's a punk that Stan can't stand. He asks Charles to try and talk some sense into Lila. He tries, but Lila really feels she loves him. Meanwhile, Buddy has to put up his parents in his apartment, after their house burns down.

episode 302 - "Buddy Has Parents"
Buddy's parents are still living with him and annoying him. He tries to find a way to get them to get back on their own, but feels too guilty about it. Meanwhile, Lila's boyfriend tries talking her into having sex. Charles finds out and freaks. He tries to stop her, but doesn't know where Lila's boyfriend lives.

episode 303 - "Lila Gets Dumped"
Lila is broken hearted when her boyfriend dumps her, although Stan and Charles are relieved. However, Charles gets a shock when he finds out that Lila had already had sex with her now ex-boyfriend. She cries to him, and he tries to comfort her. Meanwhile, Buddy, who's now rid of his parents, throws a party at his place.

episode 313 - "Charles Takes Off"


This is the final fan fic episode. The very next episode is the real season two episode "Amityville."
