Talking She might've sounded dull...

Dee might have sounded dull or whatever, BUT...
Her trademark sharpie remarks and wit couldn't be matched or touched by anybody. She was (and always will be!) the Queen of Quip and Smart-Ass Statements Galore...

So Dee got on a few nerves...aww, that's too bad! LOL

And yeah, Irene, I'm glad you see that fact as well as I.
No matter how "dull" or "mundane" Dee may have sounded/come off, there's simply NO replacement or any getting around those sharpie remarks that she delivered so well (most of which were true as they could get!). Period.

Just like Esther Anderson would do in a reaction to one of Fred's snide statements on Sanford & Son, with her "Hallelujah" time audibles on the show:
"For once I was blind, NOW I SEE! Ay-HAY-men, Hallelujah..." LMAO
(doing a joy step afterwards)

For once, I agree with you. I didn't like how she got in grown people's face and trying to put them in check. My 16 year-old neice is just like Dee, I swear to god!

I've only seen a handful of episodes, but Dee comes off like a one-note band to me. Kind of funny at first, but it got old fast, to me.

Talking But one thing's for sure, though...

One-tone or one-note band voice or not, the funny quip remarks from Miss Dee couldn't be easily ignored or brushed aside!
(And they never will be, as long as we're WH/WHN fans...LOL)

another reason i despised WHN...Dee...she wasn't there. Her role, whether small or large, she left a lasting impression. Just like Allison Arngrim did as Nellie on Little House on the Prairie. She wasn't the star...but what ever she did or say, sure as hell made a lasting impression. Dee was quick on her lines, and even though she may have said them at times with a "dull" tone, or whatever, her lines had me rolling on the floor.

"Which one?" - in response to Spike the old man who didn't talk to his daughter for marrying a white man

"Being rude...that'll cost you another nickel!" - saying this with a stern face to Raj after he asked her to keep quiet, leave him alone and stay outta his face regarding his possible expulsion from school

"...and Cicely Tyson will play me as an oooold child!" - when she tells Raj abt her running away from home if he doesn't stay home and babysit her instead of going to the party of the year.

Rerun: [makes joke and laughs]
Dee: That's funny!
Rerun: Of course it is!
Dee: No, I mean the way your belly shakes when you laugh!

Dwayne: [enters and slams door] "Hay HAY Hay!"
Dee: Don't you see me studying? Why can't you come in like a gentleman?

Rerun: I can't help it if I'm fat! It runs in my family.
Dee: Nobody runs in your family... they all waddle!

I may be the only one here, but I liked Dee's voice. I thought she had a very strong voice for her age.

Dee does remind you of that one smart ass kid that everyone knows but for her to be Mabel's child, you would have expected her to be more well-behaved. I could see if they would have gave Rerun or Dwayne a sister and she acted like that.
