There are at least three recent threads comparing restaurants that sell hamburgers, submarine sandwiches, and seafood. I figured I might as well create one too comparing fried chicken. So what do like better, KFC or Church's/Popeyes?
While Church's Chicken and Popeyes are two different franchises, they are both owned by the same parent company and offer very similar kinds of food. Furthermore, I find their fried chicken to be very similar too so I believe they can be considered one franchise. Also, I've found that there are several areas that have one or the other, but not both. While there are certain items that I like from KFC such as their spicy hot wings, I would have to say as far as fried chicken is concerned, I like Church's/Popeyes better because I like their juicy flavor. I find the chicken pieces at KFC to be rather small and not very tasty. |

KFC. Never had Churches though, I highly doubt I would change my mind anyway, but who knows?

OMG, Popeye's is one of my favorite fast food places, but the worst calorie-wise(although KFC has some good stuff, too). Aside from their chicken, which I always get spicy-all/white, their biscuits are awesome!!! You don't need butter, honey, jelly, nothing on them!! They practically melt in your mouth. Also love their mashed potatoes with the cajun gravy and their 'naked' chicken strips.
Never had Church's. POPEYE'S

-I've never been to a Popeye's (I do see we have one, but I haven't eaten there yet)
-I've only eaten at KFC and Church's -I chose Church's because I love the chicken strip dinner and choice of mashed potatoes, and they have the creamy jalapeño dipping sauce (remember, I'm the spicy food lover!) |

Did you know that Church's fries their chicken, country fried steak, catfish, fried okra, french
fries and dessert pies in beef fat? |

I choose Popeyes. I love their chicken. I use to go to 34th street in NYC to eat it there but I haven't been there in ages. I don't even know if they still have the restaurant there anymore.

I like Popeyes....I'm disappointed that there aren't many in Phoenix. I have only found 1. In Houston you could always find a Popeyes.
