Default Singers with distinctive singing voices...

when you hear a song on the radio you instantly know who it is that is singing it because of their singing voice being so different. Whether their voice is good or bad.

These are the people I can tell right away who it is:

Bob Dylan
Madonna
Bruce Springsteen
Beyonce Knowles
Mariah Carey
Britney Spears
Barbara Streisand
Celine Dion
Carole King
Little Richard
Mick Jagger
Prince
Bee Gees
Karen Carpenter
Cher
Lauryn Hill
Aretha Franklin
Tina Turner

Bob Dylan

I don't like his music, but he certainly has a voice like no one else.

Ah, Irene, you mentioned the Bee Gees! Great!

I too think they're very distinctive. If I had to single out a particular Bee Gee brother, I'd pick Robin...I think he has a very distinctive voice. "I Started a Joke" really demonstrates that, I think.

Also...the Beatles...John Lennon...Elvis...Rod Stewart...Freddie Mercury...

Dionne Warwick
Luther Vandross
Chaka Khan (although for a while there were a lot of singers who tried to sound like her)
Ray Charles
Stevie Wonder
Rod Stewart
Donald ***en

Having distinction isn't a bad thing at all. Some singers are the exact opposite like Jamie Foxx, his singing isn't distinct at all- one minute he sounds like ray Charles, next he sounds like your run of the mill male r&b singer du jour.
