I don't think he was neglected. I KNOW he was neglected. LOL
Kids can only do so many hours as far as work is concerned in the entertainment field. Labor laws in other words. And also, Roseanne (the actress, not the character) wanted the kids education to come first before anything else; she didn't want the show to be their priority. Which is why she encouraged Lecy when she was abt to enter college and they had to work around that.

Yeah, I think they should have paid more attention to him during the younger years. As Irene stated though, because of laws and stuff, that would have been kind of difficult. If he had a twin, it would have been easier, but not with just him. In the later years, and I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but I don't think his acting was quite on par with the rest of the cast. His acting always seemed more forced, and unnatural than the rest of the casts In my opinion.

Yes, I remember reading an interview with Roseanne, Sara Gilbert, and Laurie Metcalf that's from around season 6. In it, the interviewer asked Roseanne if she was angry that Sara Gilbert went off to Yale University, causing them to work a bit around Sara's schedule. Roseanne said she surely wasn't and that she was so proud of Sara for putting her education first.
