Well the people at "First Look" said they would take any "reasonable ideas" under advisement but you have to understand that only die-hard fans are going to want "Season sets" or even "Best of Season" sets
I think it was a very smart move for FIRST LOOK to group all their UM DVD releases into catagories. For example people interested in UFO's might not give a damn about the MIRACLES set. I know a lot of people here only like the "Unexplained Deaths"/"Missing Persons"/"Wanted" genres. The fact of the matter is also even by grouping the cases into catagory box sets, the sets themselves still didn't sell that well by anyone's stretch of the imagination which is the bottom line in releasing future product. |

The point you make about the poor sales of the 6 boxsets DD makes it all the more strange that they've decided to release these 2 new sets... ie best of and ultimate, especially since the first is certainly NOT a "best of" anymore than the 2nd is an "ultimate" as far as diehard fans are concerned....

How many celebrity stories have they aired? That would make a great set, IMO. I'd buy it alone for Kurt Cobain!

That's an interesting idea. I can think of Henry Rollins's friend, Jon Bon Jovi's manager, Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley, Brandon Lee, George Reeves, Bugsy Siegal, Elliott Ness... and that's it for now. But that's enough for one disc...

I am really surprised they didnt release a Mysterious Disappearances. UM has profiled so many of these that they should have done a DVD set.

Here's hoping there's another bizzare murders set.
Just got the first one in the mail yesterday and have really been enjoying it. (still waiting on Ghosts... haven't ordered the others yet, though I plan to.) Enjoying it or not though, there's soooooooooooooo much that was left out. |
