Default Scatman On Sanford & Son

The ep of Sanford & Son with Scatman as Bowlegs is on now. Wow, I've seen that one a bunch of times but it's nice to see him again...

I happened to put in my copy of The Cheap Detective, the Neil Simon movie staring Peter Falk, the other day. I forgot that Scatman was in that movie, it was cool to see him in that! LOL

I don't know why these two shows just didn't cross over-lol Damm they were on the same network, based in the same city, and aired back to back. Makes no sense.

I'm just surprised no one at NBC never thought of the idea. I'm also surprised Sammy Davis guest starred on Chico and the Man, All in the Family, and not Sanford and Son

There's a reason Sammy didn't guest star on Sanford and Son and that reason is Lamont. Demond Wilson threaten to walk if Sammy Davis Jr came on the show because he saw Sammy as a sellout. There's an article in an old Vibe magazine where he said that Redd Foxx wanted Sammy to come and Sammy wanted to come on, but he wouldn't cooperate.

I guess I was so impressed by the information you provided to us on why sammy Davis never appeared on Sanfrod and Son. You basically answered TWO questions. One was He didn;t appeared on S&S because of Demond Wilson and TWO he appeared on SANFORD because Demond Wilson was no longer apart of the show.

A sellout??? I didn't know Demond felt like that.

Dani? A sellout Why? Do you know? To me a sellout means a person who doesn't acknowledge their race but I could be wrong. Sammy was the man... Could it be because Sammy turned Jewish?

Demond is a lame for this grudge against Sammy Davis, Jr. like that!

No wonder why he never really had a regular series after S&S ended!

Man, I need to get a sound clip or vid of Scatman singing that song w/ Redd Foxx that I hear on my local Chi-town station's promos!

I always get a kick out of hearing that song!
