Default Favorite Episodes

I'm doing a research project on various rural TV shows and I was looking for some input. I have a list of some favorite episodes culled from fan sites and interviews and I need to find the funniest and/or most compelling scenes from these episodes. Also, I may have missed some great episodes in my research, so if you notice a glaring omission, please include the same info. My project and I thank you.

Episodes:
Oliver Buys a Farm (#1)
How to See South America By Bus (#36)
The Hooterville Image (#41)
The Beverly Hillbillies (#55)
Music to Milk By (#62)

Well, as you can see I'm a HUGE fan of Green Acres and remember the episodes like the back of my hand, so I'll try to help you out to the best of my ability.

Oliver Buys A Farm - I guess the funniest scene there would be when Oliver and Lisa are driving to the farm and when they actually arrive at the house. Lisa's reaction is priceless!

How to See South America By Bus - The funniest scene in this episode would be during dinner where Lisa gets stoned on champaigne. The most compelling would be the end where Oliver explains that he would never have any other woman but her.

The Hooterville Image - The funniest scene here would be where Mr. Haney is giving the citizens acting lessons and also the actually movie the Department of Agriculture makes.

The Beverly Hillbillies - I guess the funniest scene in this episode would be when the put on the play. They did a good job recreating it.

Music to Milk By - There's not very many hilarious scenes here, but the beginning was funny when Eb is dropping all those hints that its his birthday and Oliver makes the mistake of thinking its Lisa's birthday.

Hope that helps!

Oliver: Irrigate. It means put water on it.
Lisa: Von't that irritate it?

Oliver: I'd take a seed, a tiny little seed, I'd plant it in the ground, I'd put some dirt on it, I'd water it, and pretty soon, do you know what I would have?
Lisa: A dirty little wet seed.

I copied & edited the previous reply:

Oliver Buys A Farm - My favorite is the reaction of the townsfolk when they find out thet Mr. Douglas bought the Haney place. Even Arnold grunts with disapproval !

How to See South America By Bus - When Oliver is at the lady farmer's house, and is talking to Lisa on the phone. When Oliver says "honey", "darling", (and one more ?), sometimes it's meant for Lisa, sometimes for the other lady. Also, Lisa's jealousy: "What else did you have with honey ?"

The Hooterville Image - "The funniest scene here would be where Mr. Haney is giving the citizens acting lessons and also the actually movie the Department of Agriculture makes" - I agree, especially Mr. Kimball in the phony beard !

The Beverly Hillbillies - I liked the references to Mr. Henning letting them use the show.

Music to Milk By - Oliver think's it's Lisa's birthday, but Sam Drucker knows that it's Eb's. So Sam talks Oliver out of buying perfume and makeup for the gift: "I don't think I have the right shade!" Also, the radio contest, where all of the songs sound the same but have goofy names like "You're my Pizza Mama", and the grand prize being a trip to Las Vegas, IL !

I love any episode that has to do with Arnold the pig. They're hilarious.
