Default James always made it clear that J.J was not one of his favorite kids-lol

Michael and Thelam would say things and james would act totally different when J.J said the same thing.

Example 1-when the white girl comes over and said something about a rush party, Michael turns to James and says-"Daddy, what's a rush party? And james said-"don;t ask stupid questions" And then J.J says-But dad what is a rush party? and james says-"didn't i say don;t ask stupid questions stupid?-LOL

Example 2-When James got the call about the Job in Alaska and they were asking him where was the job, First Thelma ask where was it and James say-"out west" and then Michael asked and james said-"Further but u getting close" and then when J.J asked james didn't even say a location he just threw J.J out of the house-LOL-LOL-LOL

Example 3-When J.J and michael and james was sharing the sofa bed, first michael complained that the middle was uncomfortable so james allowed him to move but when J.J said he didn't like the middle James just told him he was going to stay there whether he liked it or not

Example 4-James comes home mad because of Florida getting the Job over him and when J.J greeted him and said Hi Dad it's a great new joke going around and James said-"Yeah I heard it, it ain;t funny and shut up"-lol

It's so many of these but these were the 4 that stood out the most

I noticed that as well. James was so funny when he was snapping at JJ. I remember when he said something about JJ's mouth working early in the morning but his brain does not start working until 10-LOL. I wish they had kept James on the show. I actually laughed a lot because of him.

I remember in one episode, JJ said something about a wish and James said something like, "I swear you wouldn't be here right now". I'll have to find out what episode that was from tonight when I get home.

Yeah that was from the episode where James' childhood friend (who's secretly a gambling addict) is staying at the Evanses. James, Michael and J.J. are sharing the sofa bed, and JJ says: "Aren't you going to say your prayers, too Dad?"
JAMES: Junior, if I had said my prayers I SWEAR you wouldn't be here RIGHT NOW- LOL-LOL-LOL
I LMAO

I guess James wasn't in the mood for his antics. Thelma and Michael seemed more serious insteading of clowning all the time.

The one time James appreciated JJ was in the hypertension episode when James ranted and raved abt how Thelma and Michael were after him abt his health and "giving him the hypertension, except JJ".
