Could Return April 19 on ABC - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Alias will be returning on April 19th with ALL 8 episodes remaining airing for a final run.
It will be returning to Wednesdays at 8pm with a 2 hour mid-season return
followed by 4 weeks of new one-hour episodes then concludes with a 2 hour finale sometime during the last week of May sweeps.

ABC's George Lopez and Freddie will both finish their 22 episode season run by April 12.

WooooHoooo!!! Thank god The wait is finally over for one of the Best shows ever!!!...Is this a normal 22 Episode season, or has there been a cut in the episodes because of Jennifer's pregnancy?

It has been cut from 22 episodes to 17 episodes.

Do you know why it was cut 5 episodes??? Is it because ABC has just given up on ALIAS, due to the Thursday night slump? And how in the Hell can they think it's going to do better Wednesdays at 8:00, against American Idol??? My god. They should put Invasion on hiatus and put ALIAS following LOST at 10:00. 5 episodes is a big deal when it comes to this show. So many things can happen. And I like season 5. Not their best, but it's still better than that first half of season 4. This sucks....But thanks for the info Pav.

Mixture of things. Garner's pregnancy, wanting the show to finish before May sweeps ends, etc. I think having Lost as a lead-out, Alias will do OK. Invasion did better than Alias at 10 p.m. when that trial run was given in December. All three are very good dramas, so should be a nice night!

I am going to miss Alias. It is one of my all time favorite shows.

Mee Too!!! Alias is one of the BEST SHOWS EVER! Atleast it will always be on DVD. I hope these last 8 episodes kick ass. Personally, I love season 5. I think it's actually better than last year.

And awesome Jadzia avatar! DS9 is also one of the best shows ever. Definately in my top 10.
