Default How Did Season 4 End?

I was young enough that my mom controlled tv habits when ML was on the air, and she stopped watching it after S3 or so. I know how S5 *unfortunately* ended, because it's discussed much, but I have no idea how S4 ended. I have to be honest, I'm not sure I even want to buy S4 and S5 for sure, because it's so nice to imagine it ended on S3's ender. But maybe if S4 has a decent ending too, I can at least go for that one.

Season 4 does end on a good note. It looks like Maddie and David are working towards getting back together after she gets her annulment from Walter. They are discussing taking lamaze classes at the end of the episode. It's a sweet scene. Unfortunately like you said the fifth season goes down hill after the first episode of season 5. There are a few bright spots but that's it. The beginning of season 5's first episode is really good untill Maddie loses the baby. After that well we know how it all ends. Season 4 is really pretty good. Bruce shows a very dramatic side to him while he carried on the show while Cybill was on maternity leave. He really amazed me in season 4 with his dramatic acting. The episode Father Knows Last in Season 4 is amazing. Sorry if i veered off the question LOL

I think Season 4 ended well too. You got the idea that Maddie and David were finally together and planning for the baby. It's a shame the writers' strike shortened that season because who knows how much more we might have seen. I liked a lot of the 4th season. Even after Maddie came back married, I think they still did some great episodes and that ol' chemistry was still there!

It seems like I am the only one that cannot stomach season 4. Whenever someone has a quote from season 4, I don't even try because I haven't watched any of the episodes (except Father Knows Last and A Trip To The Moon) for many years. I thought the episodes when Cybill returned were painful to watch. I think it's just me that feels this way, because the scene when David throws the tricycle through the glass to get to Maddie seems to be one of everyone else's favorites. All I could think of when I saw that scene was the Cyb's chest looked quite um HUGE and I wondered if she was in pain when they filmed the scene because my chest HURT when I was nursing my kids.

Is there one episode from when Cybill returned that you all could recommend to me to watch that will make my a happy camper? Maybe it will change my mind and I will then have the courage to watch the Walter episodes.

I actually like season 5 better than season 4. There, I said it!!!

I'm with you Kis. Though there are a few stand out episodes, I don't like Season 4 much. I think I'd also prefer season 5 to season 4. It's so hardgoing to watch, and just not fun anymore. At least season 5 tried to bring the humour back. Although the level of it's success is argueable.

Love Gem

Default not alone

You're not alone Kis or Gem! I have trouble watching Season 4 also. There are tons of "almost could've been" scenes, like in Ss 1-3, but there is so much underlying pain and betrayal that it's hard to get passed... but that's just me.
