Default Who has given rides to strangers before?

Not me. But today on the way home from work, I stoppd at a store. I was getting back in the car and this crack fein asked me which way I was going, I told her I was going the opposite way she wanted to go. She told me she would give me a DOLLAR if I take her the other way just up the street. I told her no, but what the hell I'm going to do with a dollar?!

A dollar?! That was really ridiculous for her to even offer that. That's just laughable.

She just offered a dollar thats a little funny! if she really wanted to go some where she should have called a CAB or someone she knew !.. I would have just drove off before she even came up to me!... I was at Walmart one night after work and i was getting ready to leave, and this guy was walking around, and asking people for "gas money", and I am like sorry But no I do not have any spare change he wasn't even in a car or nada! So that's kind of scary , I just drove off fast lol... Just be careful out there and never talk to strangers or give them rides, or anything!!!!!

I did one time. I was coming home from a friends house one night pretty late, close to midnight and as I was driving I caught sight of a lady probably in her 50's walking as fast as she possibly could while looking over her shoulder.

Something just didn't seem right so I circled the block and came back and asked if she needed a ride, She didn't even hesitate, she just jumped in the car shaking all over. I asked if she was okay or she needed to go to the police or the hospital and she told me no she just needed to get to her daughter's house on the other side of town. It was on my way so no problem.

During the drive, she told me she was running from her drunk ex-husband who had just broke into her house. She ran out the back door and she had only gone about a block when I showed up. She kept saying that her guardian angel had sent me and just kept thanking me. I took her to her daughter's huse and went on home.

Now, this was not something I would normally do, but something told me to go help her. I went by the daughter's house the next day to see how she was doing and her daughter gave me a HUGE hug and just kept thanking me.

After I had dropped her off the previous night, they had called the cops. The cops went over to the house and found the guy was still there ransacking her house looking for her. The arrested him on numerous charges including having a concealed weapon without a permit. He had planned to kill her when he found her. He never knew she had left the house.

The morale of this story...follow your guts, but stay safe.

Yeah, once. I was sitting at a stoplight and this lady and her daughter came up to me and she asked me to take her down the road for $5. They looked sane enough. She was just at a repair shop and her car wasn't done, so she was stranded.

I gave $2 to a stranger once in a bad part of town at the train station because I was really confused and just wanted him to go away.

no, i've never gave anyone an actual ride, but I did give a woman 2 dollars cause she rode up beside me when I was walking to my car after getting off work (this was at like 10pm, I still worked at a grocery store) she said she was on E and had to get to a town that was about 15 miles away. I just gave it to her cause I was young and scared,ha.

I have. When my ex-husband and I were leaving this place we saw a lady with a stroller and two young kids waiting at the bus stop. The weather was real cold and it was sprinkling. We knew the bus wouldn't come by for another 20 minutes, so we offered her a ride home. She was sooo grateful.

I have, I was at Kohl's shopping and I took my daughter to the restroom and I saw two little girls in the restroom talking. Then another little girl came in the restroom to tell the other two that the cops were outside. So as I was leaving the store and I saw the same 3 little girls standing outside with their Mom who was crying. And I sat in my car for a few minutes watching them and it looked like they were stranded at the store. So I drove up to them and asked if they needed to use my cell phone to call anyone and the lady said no that she didn't have anyone to call. And she told me that her husband had just threw her and her daughters out of the car and left them. So I asked her if she wanted me to take her home and she said yeah. So I drove her home, she cried all the way to her house, she lived about 30 mins froms Kohl's.

Once. This lady who lived down the street would walk to work everyday. One day it was raining and I saw her walking and I gave her a ride to work.

That sounds a lot like my mom. She doesn't drive, so she walks or buses to work. Her work is, maybe, about two miles away, but she says sometimes people see her and offer a ride. Sometimes they are strangers, and others times they are someone she knows who happens to see her walking.
