I think the show will be great. I saw the previews and it sounds good to watch. I will watch what ever shows she's on. I thought Watching Ellie was ok but this show seems to be better. So I will watch.

I am wary of the "Seinfeld Curse," so i will reserve my opinion until i have seen the first episode.

The pilot episode is not as good as episodes 2-3. I wouldn't judge it just by the first episode. It is probably no accident that they are airing the pilot at 8:30PM and the second episode in the regular timeslot of 9:30PM ET/PT.

Read our review of episodes 1-3 here:

The Pilot: I liked how she calls herself and leaves a message to remind her about things and stuff.. I hope they keep doing that.. It was funny.. I thought the pilot was really funny.. Those 2 ladies that talk to her that are always around are a little annoying but yet funny.. She owns an all woman's gym interesting but why a half an hour? That's strange.

The second episode: She goes to the grocery store to pick up a man for a one night stand but she is having difficulty doing it.. ROFL. She finds a guy but she can't get rid of him.. Christine acts a little bit like Elaine from Seinfeld. ROFL. Her and her one night stand are Elaine and Puddy!!!! ROFL. I really like this show.. Very funny. .. I hope this show lasts..

The pilot was ok, they had to of course establish a number of things...

The 2nd episode was very funny, I thought...

So far, I think the cast is very good, overall... the young son had quite a few good lines in the pilot, and delivered them very well.. it also had a nice ending with Christine and her son in the car at the end...

The 2nd episode had a lot of very funny moments.

I'll definitely keep watching the show. Hopefully they can keep the quality at least at an Episode 2 level, or better... judging from the review here at sitcomsonline (link from previous post), looks like Episode 3 will be even better.

Hope CBS gives the show a chance to establish itself and iron out any kinks. But I like what I've seen so far.

I was thinking the same thing... especially when it happened the second time... I don't want to give too much away for those out there who maybe taped (or TIVO'd) the show and haven't seen it yet... but yes, she does act a lot like Elaine at times, in her mannerisms and delivery of lines...but that's a good thing...

Also, I thought it was great that there's more to the title of the second episode, "Supertramp", than just her desire for a one night stand... a very clever title to Episode 2, considering the way the plot worked out... I liked it a lot.

Well if people haven't seen the episode yet then why would they come on this thread?

but yes, she does act a lot like Elaine at times, in her mannerisms and delivery of lines...but that's a good thing...

Well, I know if I meant to watch this show and for some reason either forgot about it or wasn't able to record it, this site is the first place I'd go to see what I missed!

I wasn't very impressed with "Old Christine."

The pilot episode was very weak. A pilot episode should reach out and grab you, but so many new shows have had such lame pilots, I don't know how they ever got a green light.

The second episode was better, but I just don't see myself getting into this show.

I was way to busy last season to even watch this show. But I saw the episode on Monday night and thought it was hilarious and now I know why she won that emmy for Old Christine. Love the show

My story almost exactly: I saw 4 of the last 5 episodes (missing the last one on 11/20/06) and though the 4th was a bit weak, I was mightily impressed by the other three, which featured great turns by Blair Underwood and Wanda Sykes.

The key to this show is a strong ensemble-JLD is as funny, loveable and sexy as ever, but Clark Gregg and company are also very strong (though I'd like to see a bit more of Emily Rutherford, who I've always liked) and though the show doesn't strain the conventions of an ordinary sitcom, it's got some very unique relationships going between the characters and avoids the anything-for-a-laugh syndrome that makes so many shows so unbearable.

Hope this keeps up.
