I don't think age should really matter. It's just a number.

Hey, alaskaboy, you share your birthday with Andy Gibb. He was born on 5th March 1958 (and tragically died 10th March 1988) so 5th March 1963 was his fifth birthday. (That's him in my avatar by the way, when he was 12. He's holding his first guitar, bought for him by big brother Barry.

Ohhhhh.... I always thought that boy in your avatar was Jerry Mathers (who played The Beaver) from "Leave it to Beaver." He looks like him to me!! Wow.... well, I learned something today....

Well, actually, when I first saw "Leave it to Beaver" (which I've only managed to see on holidays to America) I did think that when Jerry Mathers was a kid, he looked a little similar to Andy Gibb when he was a kid. Maybe it's the freckles and the smile...I think the Beaver was a cute kid, and I always thought Andy was too. That little freckled face and the smile...

I'll post a few more pictures of Andy as a kid to compare them to...I might have to use more than one post, as some of the pictures are quite large, and I'm not sure how to resize them. Anyway, here's one...

I think he looks a little like Jerry Mathers in that picture...

Here's one of him with big brother Barry...I think Andy is about 11 or 12 in this picture. And the one beside it is when Andy was probably about 5.

And here's one of him with his parents and brothers, when he was 12. At the front, from left to right, there's father Hugh, then Andy, then mother Barbara. At the back, from left to right, it's Maurice, Barry, and Robin.

Sharop, oh, yeah, I see the difference now. You're right. It was just the picture in your avatar (and the last one) where Andy looks soooo much like Jerry. The first three really do not. It's funny how in certain pics/poses can be quite deceiving. Thanks!

I always thought your avatar was Jerry Mathers too. After looking at it closely, I can see that it's Andy Gibb. I always felt bad that he died so young.

March 5th (1982) is also the day that of John Belushi's death.

I believe he dated Victoria Principal after Olivia Newton-John. I think Andy started going out with VP in about 1981.
