He had a good football playing career. Ever since he retired, he's been a basketball broadcaster. You would think he would have gotten a job broadcasting football.

He actually covered football for NBC for a long time before he started covering basketball. He was the pre-game host from 1983-1988. Then he was an analyst from about 1988-1994. Remember when he proposed to Phylicia Rashad before a Thanskgiving Day game in 1985?

You would think he would have stuck with football. But yeah, I remember he proposed to Phylicia Rashad(Ayers-Allen) back then.
