DON KNOTTS has passed away
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Don Knotts. I grew up loving him on television on the Andy Griffith Show and as a youngster, movies like THE INCREDIBLE MR LIMPETT and THE LOVE GOD made my saturdays special
he will be missed http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060225/...tv/obit_knotts |

Oh this is so sad. I loved him so much. And today I had gotten an Andy Griffith t-shirt at goodwill and a Jim Nabors record. To many Andy concidences but this one is sad.

So sad...he was awesome as Barney Fife & Mr. Chicken... (I STILL remember the phrase my parents & I used to mimic - "And they even used Bon Ami!")

So Sad
My family thinks that I am nuts, because celebrity deaths like this truly upset me. I suppose one could argue it is a sign of our own fear of our own impending end. However, so many of these television actors have a personal connection to some part of my life..... I remember watching the Andy Griffith Show with my grandfather, who always laughed aloud at Knotts. I remember my Grandmother taking me to see The Ghost and Mr Chicken at the theatre when I was young.... I remember the first time I saw Mr Furley on TV and who I was watching with. And now that Knotts is gone, those memories seem a little bit more distant.
I will truly miss his spirit and his attitude. A star who didnt feel the need for the spotlight to be on him, but was happy and proud to share it with others. |
