I've always said that myself, I even wrote to the studio with unsuccessful results. Those Jerks never listen to the fans. Watch Liar, Liar and you'll see a definate resemblance.

I believe that Jim Carrey was indeed considered for the role. The reason it didn't happen is because both Carrey and Nicole Kidman are in that $20 million-per-picture club. They both command high salaries and it would be very expensive to put both of them on a picture together. They went with Will Ferrell because he is well-known, but isn't commanding that big of a salary yet.

I think Carrey would have made a hell of better Darren than Farrell; however, the problem with the "Bewitched" movie was not the casting in as much as it was the script. Terrible script...TERRIBLE!!

Default Classic shows

Bewitched
Honeymooners
Dukes of Hazards
Movies sucks Leave the classics alone Hollywood!
It's a disrespect to the actors and actress who made these shows such classics.

Jim Carrey would been perfect.I was watching Bewitched the other day and I kept seeing Jim instead of Dick York. They really look a like. They should stick with Jim and let go Nicole instead.I always thought that Charlize Theron would been a better choice for the main role.

I believe that Jim Carrey was going to play Darrin, but turned it down because he didn't like the script. He wanted it to be a straight forward Bewitched movie. Not a movie where the actors put on a Bewitched show.

I know Jim's a fan of Bewitched. In an interview on the DVD for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, he says how they had him in a car bed. It was a bed with a real motor in it and he drove around in the streets. He said how "It was like something from 'Bewitched' that Gladys Kravitz would witness."

Of course my plan was to have Jim Carrey play Darrin for the first half of the movie and then Will Ferrell for the second half.

Hi there...yes indeed Jim C would have been a better choice for the role of Darin Stephens.. did not like the script...but nothing beats the original

Its certainly hard to choose actors for roles, but Jim and Charlie would have made the script a lot better..like your comments

Hey, I never thought about it, but you're right! He would've been a good Darrin!
