Does anyone miss Sharona? I feel like the show is just not the same without her. Or is it just me?

When I first heard that Bitty Schram was leaving the show, I thought that would be the end of it. I couldn't imagine Monk (the series or the character) surviving without Sharona, but Traylor Howard was a pleasant surprise. So, yes, the show hasn't been the same without Sharona, but I don't think it's been damaged by her absence. It's like life - people move on, we miss them, but then new people come along. I look at it this way: if Monk can adapt, so can I.

I miss Sharona.
She was a strong willed character- and besides Stottlemeyer she was really the only other one. I like Natalie ok, but she is pretty mousy and can't efectively stand up to the captain and Disher like Sharona did. Her defending Monk and standing up for the two of them was more believable and gave the show a little something extra- more tension and stronger character interaction. |
