Someone you knew personally and/or is from your hometown made it to American Idol and you didn't like their singing and performances very much, but you felt obligated to vote for them just because...Would you still do it? What if you liked someone better?
That's the situation I'm facing right now. I'm putting in hella votes for Chris tonight, but I'm totally supporting Sway too. Even though he didn't give his best performance tonight, I still wanna vote for him cuz I honestly think he's a good singer and performer (He can grow...really) and he's from my hometown and I want his representation in the top 12! ![]() Oh yah, and he's Filipino, like yours truly.

I personally would NOT vote for someone JUST cuz they were from my hometown or even homestate. I would only give my votes to those who I felt were the most deserving. Although it would be cool to have an Idol from my area lol. But no, I wouldn't feel OBLIGATED to vote for them just cuz of that reason.

Actually I see where you're coming from. I honestly would support someone from my hometown -- it's human nature. Just as long as he's not dreadful, then it makes sense. Now if someone from your hometown was just HORRIBLE, then no i wouldn't vote for him
But at least he's shown he can sing well.
