Question Record NC on DVR?

I'm just curious... Does anyone happen to record Night Court on DVR?

Right here. I DVR'd most of the August marathon, in hopes of transferring to dvd. But that's about 25 hours work , that I still haven't gotten around to. I had wanted to match that up with the 100 eps I *taped* off A&E, giving me about 10 VHS tapes worth of NC from around 2001.

Whenever I'm up to watch Night Court I record it. I'm completely unorganized, though. I have random unlabeled disks all over my room. My big project is to eventually go through all of them and label by episode and such.

I record NC on TiVo and then offload it to DVD-R. The problem is TVLand cuts the heck out of the episodes AND takes up the lower two-thirds of the screen for promo use. Very annoying! My recordings from the Biography channel are much more 'in tact' as they did not do lower two-thirds promos and did a better job editing for extra commercials. For shame, TV Land!

Yes, like N@N. But yet I've seen eps where you can't tell where they've cut out. For example scene in "This Old Man...". Where Harry & Christine are in the coat room.

It seems that they like to the edits in the segment before the title credits or in the segment before the first commercials. It's really obvious when they abruptly cut right to the opening credits.

I've been taping the shows to VCR, since I'm not one of those lucky folks with a DVR. I'm closing in on my 6th 8-hour tape of shows since I expect the show to disappear when Benson and some other shows appear on TVLand.

Kevin...
