Below is how UK's Channel 5 treated Prisoner: Cell Block H from 1997 - 2001

Episodes 001 - 080

These episodes was shown from Monday - Sunday at early hours of 4:40am

Episodes 081 - 085

These 5 episodes was shown Back to Back way through the night as Channel 5 launched a Prisoner Night from 12am - 5am

Episodes 086 - 179

All these episodes was shown Monday , Wednesday , Friday at 11:35pm

Episodes 180 - 498

All these episodes was shown Monday - Friday and sometimes on Saturday and Sunday at the original old time 4:40am

Episodes 499 - 690

Now this was a real bummer for us Prisoner fans as Channel 5 cut down weekly episodes to only 2 per week Prisoner was now shown every Saturday and Sunday at 4:40am

Episodes 691 & 692

As the series comes to an end Channel 5 made the series go out with a BANG and shown the 2 final episodes Back to Back through the night from 3:50am

Sadly since then Prisoner has not been on UK television and the only was was to get Prisoner was to install a Swedish Channel called TV4 as they was showing Prisoner under a swedish name "Kvinnofangelset" they shown the series all most every night at around 12am - 1am sadly after Episode 571 was shown the UK installment was now gone as TV4 went to Digital and sadly the UK could not get the channel no more.

But good news has come this year.. after 5 years waiting Prisoner is to be repeated later this year on a Brand New Aussie Channel "Down Under TV" also you will find loads of other aussie shows such as Neighbours and Home and Away also some classics like Sons and Daughters , The Flying Doctors and so on.

I loved this show. I watched it when it was shown here the first time. I fell in love with it. I too wish it was released with all the episodes instead of the Best of Box Sets.
