Default The way Richard Dawson, host of Family Feud in 70's kissed Female Contestants on the

show. I found it very odd the way he kissed Females at the beginning of the show. It wasn't like a quick hello PECK on the cheek, it was this slow type of passionate kiss like they were inside his bedroom-lol That host was a real weirdo. Anyone remember him doing this?

I watch the reruns on GSN from time to time and I thought it was really inappropriate to kiss women on the lips, especially if they were married. Richard did seem sort of weird.

That was a tradition. All the women who appeared on that show were expecting it after awhile.

I guess it was his thing.
He was the best Family Feud host though.

It was his trademark, but I know I wouldn't like it.

I remember reading that Chuck Woolery wouldn't kiss any of the contestants on his show, Love Connection. I read in an interview where he said that it would disrespectful to his wife.

After I read that, I noticed that the women wouldn't even try to pucker up, and would shake his hand instead. I got the feeling that they were told beforehand not to kiss Chucky.

O_o It was a total peck...not a bedroom kiss. It's not like he frenched them.

I know, I'm totally biased, but even if I weren't, had I been on the show, I guess it wouldn't have bothered me. The producers asked women beforehand if they were yay or nay to the kiss, and most of them were all like, bring it on, baby! Occasionally there'd be a woman who wasn't comfy with it, or it was against her religion, and Richard respected that and would either give them a peck on the cheek, or no kiss at all.

When Feud came back in 1994, his then 4 year old daughter asked him not to kiss anyone but his wife, and so on the 94-95 version, he didn't kiss anyone.

The episode I saw was not a peck. It was a slow passionate under the covers type of kiss-lol
