AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MISS JANE PITTMAN starring Cicely Tyson. I had seen this movie for the first time in junior high school. I love this movie. It came on the other night on PBS and I was watching it. I hadn't seen it in soooo long and to my surprise there were two actors from GT's who had made guest appearances.

Thalmus Rasulala, he played Florida's boss who took her to the japanese restaurant and also played James' friend who had the gambling problem. He also played on What's Happening playing of course, the father.
In this movie he plays a character named Ned; he is the son of Cicely Tyson's character. He isn't really her son, but she and him grew up on the same plantation and they both were orphans. She raised him as her son. When the character grew up, Thalmus played that part.

Rod Perry, played Willona's "boyfriend" Jeff who was paid by Penny's mother to set her up.
He played a character called Joe Pittman. Cicely Tyson's character married Joe and he was killed by a horse shortly after.

Since this is a movie thread I will not start my own but I saw 2 more Good Times Actors who starred in a movie from 1975 called-"Cornbread, Earl and Me"

Carl Dixon and the Older Woman who was involved with J.J in season 4. I think her name her was Ms. Bishop

I didn't know because i turned the movie off after 10 min. Just wasn't holding my interest. So all I saw were those two and a young lawrence fisburn

You should give it another chance. It was good, (I have it on tape) and yes, that was Larry Fishbourne's debut film.

I only watch Comedy Movies, so the fact that it's a drama it was hard for me to continue watching

Solomon, did you see the 1975 Bill Cosby movie "Let's Do It Again" that also had Jimmie Walker and John Amos in it? If not, I will send a copy with the tape I'm sending you. It's pretty funny.

Ok good. I think you'll enjoy seeing John Amos and Jimmie Walker in this at the same time they were on GT. Not to mention the movie is very funny to me. Besides Bill Cosby & Sidney Poitier, it also has Calvin Lockhart and the actor who played "Ben", Florida's date in season 4 at the bar. He's one of John Amos' gangsters-lol

Yes, Denise Nicholas. She was also in A Piece of The Action, the third Cosby/Poitier movie.

That's a good movie, Jimmie as a boxer was a little to much, he looked skinner on there then on GT for some reason LOL

"Cornbread Earl and Me" was a great movie. I cried like a baby when I first saw it, I was 15 when I saw it for first time. At the end when he's in court telling what happened gets me all the time.

Also Ja'net DuBois was in "A Piece of the Action" along with Tamu. That was a great movie, But Ja'net hair in that movie was a trip.
